Press Release

Following analysis of over 3400 IT positions across the Midlands*, CV Screen report that the average permanent IT salary in the Midlands now stands at £33,362.

The survey which monitors over 30 IT job roles in the region concludes that IT Salaries increased by 3.5% in 2007. The increase is broadly in line with the increases seen throughout the UK.

CV Screen’s Account Manager for the Midlands region, Rachel Luckman commented on the survey “It’s encouraging for the region that IT salaries are holding up against those in the South East and London, where salaries rose at a similar rate over the last 12 months.”

Luckman added “Despite the uncertainty in the UK economy at the end of 2007, we are still experiencing high demand for IT professionals in the Midlands and indeed throughout the UK. There is still high employment within the IT industry and I would anticipate a similar trend in 2008 with a slight increase in IT salaries across the region.”
