Marketing Manager Job Description

Job Overview

The Marketing Manager oversees the offline and online marketing plan, working to drive traffic to the website through PPC, SEO, Emails, CRM and Social Media as well as directing direct marketing and email marketing campaigns. Responsibilities will also include driving the eCRM activity with the Customer Marketing Team, undertake customer and competitor analysis, utilise website analytics and business reports to monitor site performance, create commercially successful website offers and budgetary management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop the vision and marketing strategy for all digital content and campaign plans
  • Oversee implementation of the plan directly and/or indirectly through campaign programmes and deliver value adding lead generating/brand building activity
  • Use innovative technologies to present online content to customers and prospects
  • Manage SEM/PPC online campaigns to help drive awareness, trial, purchase, penetration and retention of products and services
  • Develop leading edge communication content and navigation from market research, customer insight, competitor analysis and technological innovation
  • Working with the in-house campaign team to develop multi-channel / integrated marketing campaigns
  • Ensure that the design and content of the website is correctly branded, relevant and compelling and is optimised to achieve traffic and create leads
  • Working to agreed budgets with approved suppliers
  • Setting up and managing website content, providing web analysis and evaluation

Skills / Attributes Required

  • Educated to Degree level or similar Marketing Qualification
  • Previous experience in Digital Marketing, Multi-Channel / Integrated marketing, web analytics
  • Proven experience is setting up and managing content managed websites
  • Email best practice standards and methods of delivery, tracking and measurement
  • A keen eye for detail, and the ability to work to tight deadlines

Typical Salary Range

£35,000 to £50,000
